Dark superhero visual novel adventure game
SACRIFICE VILLAINS is a premium adventure PC game from CLOCKUP. It's a superhero-themed visual novel narrative that tells of the toils of being a hero in a town filled with crime and violence. Players will embark on a mission to rehabilitate worn-out heroes and try to save those who have chosen to side with the dark side.
Comparable to games like MiSide or NUKITASHI, SACRIFICE VILLAINS is heavily inspired by anime and manga themes for its story and art style. This narrative-driven experience will take players into a dark and deep dive into the psyche of both superheroes and villains.
Wavering ideals
SACRIFICE VILLAINS takes place in the dark and twisted town of Scum City, which streets are littered with crime and violence. The last remaining bastion of peace and order lies within the walls of the Justopian Ward, founded and governed by a revered hero, Justopia, himself. The Hero Society has been hard at work to fight back, but the villains keep getting stronger and growing in numbers.
The majority of crime-fighting heroes have relentlessly been bruised and battered, and you've been tasked with their recuperation as the new head of the Asylum institution with the help of its AI system, The Justice. Fueled by your hate of villains due to childhood trauma, use your vast intellect and cunning to help fallen heroes and give the city a fighting chance once more.
You will also need to capture S-Rank heroes who have turned to wicked ways and try to bring them back into the light of good and justice. Now, as far as these types of games go, SACRIFICE VILLAINS has a rather linear narrative with no room for side or branching stories. The entire experience is also quite short, lasting under an hour for a playthrough.
Of heroes and villains
Overall, if you like visual novels and anime-themed games, you can have both in SACRIFICE VILLAINS. It serves up an intriguing story that delves into the dark side of the whole saving the world hero work and how even those who follow the light of good can be led astray. The whole experience will be a short one, but it is worth having nevertheless. Recommended.
